What it’s like to live in a mansion

This weekend I had the opportunity to go to Colorado for the annual American Student Dental Association district meeting, which included representatives from the three Texas dental schools, plus Oklahoma and Colorado dental schools. We were all arriving on Thursday evening in the Denver airport, and then driving to Copper Mountain, CO where we had a 4 story mansion awaiting us. I learned that this house was worth 2.8 million dollars, which I actually thought was kind of low, and could sleep up to 25 people (VERY comfortably I might add). Since each school sent approximately 5 students, so we had exactly the right amount of people. You never felt crowded in the house, but you couldn’t ever be alone. The house was right on the ski slope so we could ski in and out throughout the day. Outside was a hot-tub, grill, and huge patio looking over the bunny slope. When we arrived at the house, I was in shock at how nice it was. From the outside it looked like a pimped out log cabin, and it only got better from there. The first floor of the house was dedicated to an entertainment room, with theater style seating and a projection TV, 2 car garage, and a bedroom and bathroom. The second floor had what I would consider a master bedroom and a sports room. This room had a pool table, poker table, and a wet bar. It was definitely the guys room for the trip. Finally, on the third floor was the main living area, which included the kitchen, living room, study, dinning room, and a locker room to store your ski equiptment. Also on this floor was the bedroom that I stayed in. The room had 4 full size bunk beds, and they all had their own flat screen TV so you could watch TV in bed. As if that wasn’t enough, there was one more floor above the main floor which had another master bedroom and a bathroom that was the size of my apartment. It had a grand bathtub that looked out over the ski slopes, a laundry room, and a huge walk in closet, but the best thing about it was the shower. This was no ordinary shower. First off, it had three different shower heads. One in front of you, one coming down from the ceiling, and then another hand held shower head. On top of that, it had a built in steamer. This turned your ordinary shower into a wet steam room any time you wanted. After a long day of skiing, I would come back and spend a good 30 minutes in here, and when I got out I felt like a new man. This was by far the best shower I have ever had. I was sad to leave, but I guess all good things have to come to an end eventually.
