Back to the Grind
Ahh, there’s nothing quite like coming home to a sink full of dishes that is breeding flies and a pile of laundry larger than I remember. After a wonderful week in Austin, it was back to Houston. I don’t know where the week went. I guess that’s what happens when you try to cram as much as you can in a small window of time. The best part, I think for Sarah and me was that we knew that we would get to be with each other all week. So we tried to make the best of it, but of course our we had our energy peaks at different times throughout the week. Early on, I was still wiped out from traveling and sickness, while Sarah was up and energetic, and then by the end of the week we switched. She was starting to catch a cold and was tired. We were going to go camping but its hard when we have the lure of the lake house so close. So we went up there and grilled, fished, and slept. Not much was biting so we just walked around the lake using my “xray” sunglasses to look for fish, and according to them, we caught two huge carp! We also met up with my future business associate and met with her consultant about our future dental practice, which was very exciting. It was definitely done the old fashioned way, meaning we sat and talked over drinks and just got to know each other better. It’s a cool feeling knowing that I already have a job waiting for me when I get done with school. As for the rest of the week, I spent a lot of time swimming, biking, and running. Sarah did a lot of studying, and at the end of the day we were just happy to be together. That I learned was the most important part. It was not what we were doing, but who we were with (which it was just us two), but we had a great time just being together. The countdown has begun for the day that we will move in together again. 49 more days until we officially will never have to live apart again. And on a side note, its 60 days until our cruise!
