Felt like getting thrashed

Getting thrashed is like getting drunk, only it's from working out not drinking. It had been such a horrible day prior to my workout. First, I took my dental boards exams, and left the exam feeling like I didn't know anything. The only thing that makes it worse is that I won't know how I did for 3 weeks. Then, on my way home I get a ticket for, of all things, unsafe lane changing. Stupid cops have nothing better to do than sit at the 59 and 610 exit where it goes from 3 lanes to 2 lanes, to 1 lane. I was trying to get over and went across the white line, you know the triangular space when 2 roads split w/the water barrels in the middle? Well, of course there were 3 cops just sitting there pulling over people who crossed the white line. Stupid cops. Arrgh. I really had to hold my tongue when I got pulled over. Man it would have felt so good to give that cop a piece of my mind, but I probably would have ended up in jail. So I bit my lip and drove off with steam coming out my ears. When I got home Sarah had made me a sweet treat of chocolate pudding, oreos, and gummy worms to cool my temper. I'm so lucky to have such a great wife (Happy 4 Year Anniversary :)
Now, back to the getting thrashed, that night I went to a trainer group ride w/OnUrLeft which is where I blew off the rest of the anger that was still boiling in my stomach. After the ten minute warmup, I don't think my heart rate dropped below 155 for the next 50 minutes. Then I did a 3 mile brick run holding 6:10 pace. It was one of those days where the harder/more pain from the workout the better I felt. I could just feel the stress and anger from the day slowly draining from my body, leaving me relaxed and free. And that is what getting thrashed is all about.
